ClinDevLab

An early exploration of a developer-focused platform for clinical software engineering.

Overview

ClinDevLab is an early-stage idea for a developer-focused platform about clinical software engineering. It is a planned build: no application has been implemented, and the final product scope remains undecided.

Why this exists

The idea is to explore how practical engineering guidance could help developers approach software for clinical development. The focus is software engineering, not medical or clinical advice.

Initial direction

The current direction is to explore practical resources, tools, examples, and engineering guidance around clinical development, including public industry standards and concepts such as CDISC and SDTM. Any material would use public knowledge and independently created examples.

Open questions

  • Which developer questions would be useful to address first?
  • What scope would make a small, focused first exploration worthwhile?
  • Which public references and original examples would support that exploration?

Next steps

Clarify the engineering questions, review public references, and define a bounded first exploration before deciding what to build. Features, architecture, and release timing have not been decided.
